Sven is an award-winning film maker based in Los Angeles. His strong visual focus of his work roots in his background in visual effects, where he worked with industry leading directors such as David Fincher, Joseph Kosinski, Edgar Wright or Andrew Thomas Huang. His long trained attention to detail enabled him to acquire a sophisticated understanding of the anatomy of a shot and that’s why post-production has been an integral part of the languages he speaks.
Sven doesn’t shy away from experimenting with different methods and technologies to create outstanding commercial and branded content. In 2017 he was one of the first to shoot brand films native in 9x16 format without sensor cropping. He also has been pioneering iPhone filmmaking in a series of projects for Apple and is not shy to experiment with generative A.I., no matter if in concept, production or post.
Sven founded his own media & post-production boutique Revolutio Creative while on-boarding as a vendor for Apple Inc. in 2016. Clients for brand films and post include a variety of brands such as Birkenstock, Apple, Neiman Marcus, United Nude or Under Armour, to name a few.
He is an alumni of Filmakademie Ludwigsburg and has been a jury member of the 2018 & 2020 Telly Awards. On occasion he contributes content to his favorite surf blog, the Inertia.
